1. Our commitment

FiscalForge LLC is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, use magnification or high-contrast settings, rely on voice control, or prefer reduced motion.

Accessibility is not a feature we bolted on. It is part of how this site is built and how we review changes before they ship. If any part of it does not work for you, we want to hear about it and fix it, and in the meantime we will help you the direct way, by phone or email. See Need help right now?

2. The standard we work to

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by the W3C). It is the benchmark referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice and by most accessibility settlements, and it is what we hold this site to. We are also adopting the additional Level AA criteria introduced in WCAG 2.2, such as minimum target sizes and consistent help placement.

Conformance status: substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.“Substantially conformant” means most of the site meets the standard, and we are aware of and working on the exceptions listed under Known limitations. We state it that way deliberately. A blanket claim of full conformance would be a claim no website can honestly maintain across every page, browser, and assistive technology combination, and we would rather tell you exactly where we are.

3. What we have done

Specific measures built into this site:

  • Keyboard access throughout.Every link, button, form field, menu, and dialog can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to Main Content” link is the first thing you reach on every page.
  • Visible focus. A high-contrast focus outline follows keyboard navigation everywhere, including inside form fields, so you always know where you are.
  • Contrast.Text and interface colors are checked against the 4.5:1 (normal text) and 3:1 (large text and interface components) contrast thresholds on this site’s dark palette.
  • Real semantics, not decoration. Headings, lists, landmarks, and form labels describe the actual structure of each page. We do not apply ARIA roles that promise interactions the page does not implement.
  • Forms that explain themselves. Every field has a permanent visible label. If something is missing when you submit the booking form, the error names what is wrong, is attached to the field it refers to, is announced by screen readers, and moves your focus to the field that needs attention. The submit button is never disabled without telling you why.
  • Announced changes. When content updates without a page reload, such as appointment times appearing after you pick a date, the change is announced rather than happening silently.
  • Reduced motion respected. All animation is disabled automatically when your device is set to reduce motion, and no content depends on animation to be readable.
  • Dialogs behave. The mobile menu and the cookie preferences dialog move focus in, keep it inside while open, close on Escape, and return focus to the control you opened them from.
  • Meaningful images and links.Images that carry information have text alternatives, decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology, and links describe where they go rather than saying “click here.”

4. Why there is no accessibility widget on this site

You may have seen a floating accessibility button on other sites, offering to switch on a “screen reader mode” or adjust contrast and fonts. We have deliberately chosen not to install one.

Those overlay tools sit on top of a site and attempt to patch problems in the browser. They do not fix the underlying code, they frequently interfere with the screen readers and browser settings people already use and have configured to their own needs, and organizations representing blind and low-vision users have consistently advised against them.

We fix the site instead. Your own assistive technology, your own browser zoom, your own contrast and font settings, and your own operating-system preferences are the tools that should work here, and those are what we build and test against.

5. Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you discover them. We are actively working on each, and we will help you directly with anything below in the meantime.

  • Booking calendar navigation. The date picker is fully operable by Tab and Enter, and every date announces its full name and whether it is available. It does not yet support arrow-key navigation between dates in the grid, which means moving across a month takes more keystrokes than it should. If you would rather not use the calendar at all, call or email us and we will book the time for you.
  • Third-party content. Links out to mapping services and government sites, including IRS.gov and azdor.gov, lead to pages we do not control and cannot guarantee the accessibility of.
  • Older assistive technology. We test against current versions of major screen readers and browsers. Combinations more than a few versions old may behave differently.

6. How we assess this site

This site has been assessed by:

  • Manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of the site's interactive flows, including the full booking form from date selection through submission and error handling, the navigation menus, and the cookie preferences dialog.
  • Manual review of headings, landmarks, form labels, error messages, and announced status changes, verified against what assistive technology actually receives.
  • Color contrast calculated from the site's own color values rather than estimated by eye.
  • Code review of images and links for text alternatives, descriptive link text, and warnings on links that open a new tab.

Accessibility work is ongoing rather than a one-time certification. New interactive features are reviewed against the same standard before they go live, and this statement is updated as the site changes.

7. Tell us about a problem

If you run into a barrier on this site, or something here is not usable with the technology you rely on, please tell us. It genuinely helps, and we treat it as a defect to fix, not a complaint to file.

Please include, if you can:

  • The page address where you hit the problem.
  • What you were trying to do.
  • What happened instead.
  • The browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using.

We aim to respond within 3 business days, and we will tell you what we found, what we are going to do, and roughly when. If a fix will take longer, we will give you a working alternative in the meantime.

8. Need help right now?

You never have to use this website to work with us. Every service described here, including booking a consultation, can be handled entirely by phone or email. Call 480-331-7805 or email contact@fiscalforge.net and a person will take care of it with you directly, at no disadvantage and no extra cost.

If you need information from this site in a different format, or need documents provided another way, tell us what works for you and we will accommodate it.
